We diagnose if allergies are present are not. We can use several methods to do this. Allergy skin testing is where scratch the skin or inject the skin with an allergen to produce an immune response. If needed, we can also perform RAST testing to diagnose allergies via the blood stream.

There are 2 basic methods for this. Scratch testing the skin and intradermal injections into the skin. These methods can be used to diagnose seasonal allergies bee and wasp allergies and food allergies.

Over time, your doctor increases the dose of allergens in each of your allergy shots. This helps get your body used to the allergens (desensitization). Your immune system builds up a tolerance to the allergens, causing your allergy symptoms to diminish over time.
